ALIGARH  : The protection of rights of consumers was urged vehemently at a commemorative programme held at the Department of Home Science, Aligarh Muslim University, marking the World Consumer Rights’ Day on March 15.

Speaking at an interactive session on “Awareness on Entrepreneurial Funding from Government Scheme”, Ms. Anjali Jadaun from Nagar Nigam, Aligarh discussed in detail the PM Street Vendors’ Atmanirbhar (SVA) Nidhi Yojana and stressed that under this scheme, the interest free loan for Startup is highly beneficial for students in developing micro-enterprise. She said that the Home Science curriculum is skill based and students should utilize their knowledge and skill in starting small scale ventures with the help of the above scheme.

Dr. Saba Khan (Chairperson of the department) urged the students to develop enterprise as it is the need of the hour to become job providers, instead of job seekers.
