Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) organized a Seminar on Entrepreneurship on 16th February 2023. The speakers for today’s event were Prof. (Dr.) Rishi Kant, Asst. Professor, CIMP, Dr. Md. Safiullah, Asst. Professor, CNLU (Patna), Prof. Rajesh Chaudhary, Asst. Prof. NIFT Ms. Astha Singh, Founder & CEO, Gramshree Kisan, Sri Sachin Kumar, founder, Sattuz and Ms. Reshma Singh, Founder of Srimitra India. The seminar has been organised under the IIC activity.
Prof. (Dr.) Rana Singh, Director, CIMP opened the event with a welcome speech. Dr. Rana Singh, Director, CIMP welcomed the guest, other dignitaries and audience. In his addressed he said that we are discussing start-up and entrepreneurship to boost start-up ecosystem. Took entrepreneurship a missionary zeal and pave the way for upcoming entrepreneur. Government of India is spending lots of money such as 11000cr on entrepreneurship and start-ups. Getting a placement is easiest thing but entrepreneurship is beyond a getting job and provides solution for a major concern problem.
Further this day, Prof. (Dr.) Rishi Kant, Asst. Professor, CIMP, addressed the students and said that now it is ease of starting and doing Business and if somebody have a Adhar card as MSME , start-up get 80% rebate in filing patents, most important there is no income tax for three years. Incubator also provides space to physically locate a number of start-ups companies at one place. It also provide seed money with or without taking equity, some also provide soft loan.
Ms. Astha Singh, Founder & CEO, Gramshree Kisan in her address said that the Entrepreneurship may be accidental activity, sudden an idea came in mind and things changed. Sometimes we do not get what we really want to do. Entrepreneurship is all about to remove darkness from your side, greatest achievement about self made. Who is willing to take an action is more important and believing in you, hard work, consistency, perseverance these are keys for entrepreneurship.
Later this day, Dr. Md. Safiullah, Asst. Professor, CNLU (Patna) addressed the students and said to find out any problem in society and think about to solve that problem in many ways that’s entrepreneurship. But Product can be protected by IPR (Intellectual property right).Patent, trademarks, industrial design, and geographical indications. For products and ideas we have to do patent and for art, drama, music, and literature we have to do copyright.
Ms. Reshma Singh, Founder of Srimitra India, addressed the audience in her address she said that kindness is also important in entrepreneurship, and start-up ecosystem. To Understanding own emotional intelligence, it helps us to do work with great passion. Social entrepreneurship creates positive impact in society, being a social entrepreneur you can also make profit, you can implement technology in social work. Accountability, transparency, how the money is utilising and a vision of development of society is most important thing in social entrepreneurship.
Sri Sachin Kumar, founder, Sattuz said in his address that Friendship and surroundings are also important in Start-up.
Further, Prof. Rajesh Chaudhary, Asst. Prof. NIFT, discussed the reason behind entrepreneurship, He said that Innovation come in mind, then opportunity recognition, which leads risk, then after take action or use of resources and last but not the least add value. It is also about how to provide solutions of latent need or hidden need. He also said that your interested areas or domain, hobbies, strength and research can give you an idea for innovative entrepreneurship.
Prof. (Dr.) Rana Singh, Director, CIMP delivered the Vote of Thanks. In his address he gives a heartfelt thanks to the respected guest and other participants. Faculty members, students, staffs and others distinguished dignitaries were present during the session.
