AMU alumni visit Aftab Hall

Aligarh : A group of five Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) alumni recently paid an emotive visit with gratitude and nostalgia to the university hostel, Aftab Hall where they stayed as students.

“They were Mr Shahzad Shah (1972-78) who retired as Financial Commissioner-Railways, Ex Office Secretary, Government of India; Mr Farrukh Shah (1971-77), former CEO of the Gulf Unit of GIC; Mr Iftekharul Hasan (1974-81), Ex-Head LIC Operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Mr Shadab Ahmad (1974-82) erstwhile Bank Chief Manager and Prof Ali Athar (1975-84) former Chairman, Department of History, AMU”, said Dr Salman Khalil (Provost, Aftab Hall).

He added that the visitors also planted tree saplings and had lunch at the Morison Court Dining Hall.
