Student from Orchids – The International School bags multiple medals at National Level Swimming Championship

Bengaluru: Agasthya Manjunath, a seventh-grade student from Orchids – The International (OIS), Sahakar Nagar branch has bagged multiple medals in the CISCE National Championship 2022. The championship was organized by the ICSE council and was held at the Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru recently.

 

Agasthya won silver medals in 100 metre Freestyle, and 4×100 metre Freestyle Relay Swimming competitions. He also won bronze medals in 50 metre Freestyle, 200 metre IM and 4×100 metre IM Relay Swimming competitions.

 

Speaking about his achievement Agasthya said, “I am proud and overwhelmed for representing my school at the National level Championship. I thank my swimming coach Vivin Kumari for her immense support and training. I thank my teachers and Principal wholeheartedly for encouraging me to achieve this feat. My aim is to represent India in the Olympics.”

 

Nancy Syntika, Principal of OIS, Sahakar Nagar branch, said “We are delighted and proud to witness the outstanding achievement of Agasthya in the National Level Swimming Championship. At OIS we strive for excellence in sports and co-curricular activities among students and develop a sense of sportsmanship.
