Aligarh : The Formula Racing team of SAE ZHCET Collegiate Club, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has successfully cleared the Rulebook Quiz for ‘Formula Student Austria-2023, an international level formula style race car design and manufacturing students’ competition.

According to Mr. Nafees Ahmad, Faculty Advisor, SAE ZHCET Collegiate Club, the ‘Formula Student Austria’ will be held at the Red Bull Raceway in Spielberg, and it will feature student teams from all over the globe.

Out of the 55 foreign teams chosen, ZFR is one of the only two student teams from India to have qualified for this coveted competition and have finished 20 overall in the FS Austria 2023 Rule Book Quiz, he added.

Encouraging the students, Dr. Syed Fahad Anwer, Faculty Advisor, SAE ZHCET Collegiate Club told that team ZFR was placed second nationally in the business plan competition and thirteenth overall in the Formula Bharat-2023 competition, which was held at the Kari Motor Raceway in Coimbatore in January, 2023.
The team is determined to perform magnificently at the event and bring laurels to the university at such a global stage, said Mr. Arquam Hashim Siddiqui, student Chairperson, SAE ZHCET Collegiate Club.
