Rice President David Leebron, University Representative Ping Sun and Provost Reginald DesRoches represented Rice alongside the Marching Owl Band at the 44th Annual Original MLK Day Parade Jan. 17. The theme of the 2022 parade was “Social Inclusion,” and sunny weather encouraged thousands of attendees to line the parade route in downtown Houston.
