Aligarh: The Training and Placement Office (General) of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in collaboration with the university’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) will organise a one- day recruitment fair SAIRAAB’ on November 13.

‘More than 20 companies, including Stepping Cloud, Marque Impex, TeleCRM, Suo Jobs, Conneqt Business Solutions, Believe Pte. Ltd., ATX Learning, Mindtel Global Pvt. Ltd., Institute of European Languages & Consultancy, Numro Constructions among others have confirmed their presence for the event which is scheduled to be held at the Faculty of Arts’ informed Mr. Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer (General).

This event is being organised to provide placement opportunities to recently passed out and final year UG/PG students belonging to different courses of the university.

More than 1000 students have registered for the event so far.

“We are overwhelmed by the response from so many prospective employers. The event is part of an ongoing effort to promote Industry – University interface and create new channels for mass placement opportunities” added Mr. Hameed.

Prof. Asad U Khan, (Convener, SAIRAAB) said events of this sort, not only provide employment opportunities to deserving students but also go a long way in grooming students and also improving the overall rankings of the University.

“Apart from being an excellent opportunity for students to define their futures, this event will also be a learning experience for many students” stated Dr Jahangir Alam, Organising Secretary, SAIRAAB.

Dr Muzamil Mushtaq, Co-Convenor of the event said: I am hopeful that this mega event will be helpful for the students and promote Industry-University interface.
