NTPC School of Business organizes capacity building programs for officials from Myanmar

New Delhi : NTPC School of Business (NSB), in association with NTPC Limited, a Maharatna company, organized two 5-days training programs on the topics Smart Grids and Cross Border Electricity Trade (CBET) for government officials from Myanmar.

The training programmes were organized, under the aegis of ‘Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme’ of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, from March 27th to 31st at the Power Management Institute, Noida. The programmes were attended by 40 mid-career officials from the Ministry of Electric Power, Myanmar. The Ambassador of India to Myanmar, H.E. Shri Vinay Kumar, and Director (Projects), NTPC Ltd, Shri Ujjwal Kanti Bhattacharya, graced the inaugural session of the programme.

The trainings were delivered through a mix of classroom sessions by eminent experts from different organizations such as NTPC, Power Grid Corporation of India, PTC, India Smart Grid Forum, TERI, FSR Global and Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, among others, as well as field visits to different places such as the Grid Controller of India Indian Energy Exchange, and Tata Power-DDL Smart Grid Lab. The teams were also taken to NTPC’s Dadri Power Station and NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance (NETRA).
