NCC cadets of GCW Udhampur take out awareness rally against drug Abuse

UDHAMPUR : Under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, 1 J&K girls Battalion NCC Srinagar of Government College for Women, Udhampur today took out an awareness rally under the banner of ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’.

This NCC unit of the college, under the patronage of the Principal Dr. Monika Sharma, organized the awareness Rally of NCC cadets to educate people about the drug abuse and its harmful effects on the society.

Principal of the college flagged off the rally with a green flag. She addressed the cadets and highlighted the disastrous consequences of substance consumption and drug abuse prevention. She also applauded the efforts of the NCC cadets and expressed appreciation for their endeavour to raise awareness about the menace of drugs. “For a brighter future for the country, it is imperative that the youth are motivated to adopt a healthy and positive outlook towards life, and those who have strayed from their path need to be brought into the mainstream,” she asserted. She also applauded the I/c ANO Shallu Jasrotia for holding the event. The cadets were motivated to give their best in the rally. Other faculty members of the college were also present.

Around 50 NCC cadets participated in rally with great enthusiasm and spread through placards showcasing different slogans.

The college faculty members also participated in the rally to provide guidance and support to cadets. I/C ANO Shallu Jasrotia coordinated the event.
