RAJOURI : As part of special week-long programme launched to improve public services delivery at the village and panchayat levels, a mega camp was today organised by the Health Block Kandi under the Integrated Social Security Scheme, here under the supervision of Dr. Saleem Ur Rehman, Director Health Services Jammu, and on the direction of Vikas Kundal, District Development Commissioner Rajouri.

Block Medical Officer, Dr Iqbal Malik organised the mega camp, where 753 old age and widow certificates were issued to Pension Scheme beneficiaries on the spot.

These camps commenced last Monday and continued for the whole week, covering far-flung areas of Block Kandi.

According to BMO Kandi, it is difficult for residents of far off areas, particularly senior citizens, to come to CHC Kandi for the issuance of age certificates. “To facilitate such people, we intend to bring this facility to people’s homes for their convenience and benefit” he added.

Dr. Asif Iqbal, Dr. Rifat, Dr. Arshad Nabi, Dr. Jabeen, Mohd Shabir, Mohd Iqbal, Shoket Malik, and other medical personnel also provided services at the camp.
