The much-awaited result of the most prestigious engineering entrance exam, JEE mains are going to be released by the national testing agency within a few hours. The national testing agency will be releasing the result tonight Students will be able to check their scorecards as well as download their rank lists from the official websites, jeemain.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in.
TIME OF THE RESULTS:
According to the NTA sources, the result of JEE MAINS 2021 the last attempt will be declared by 9:30 pm on nta.ac.in . However, we know that due to unexpected traffic on the website of NTA during the result day, the result can get delayed unexpectedly.

JEE Main 2021: Rank Calculation FORMULA
NTA uses normalization as a criterion to bring the multitude of different shifts on a fair playing ground. As a result of which multiple candidates and up getting the same percentile and many JEE mains aspirants have to suffer due to this normalization process.
In order to assign a rank to two different candidates opening the same percentile, it uses tie-breaking criteria.
Now this year the age criteria that was earlier used as a tie-breaking formula has been dropped. If two candidates get similar percentile the one with higher marks in mathematics is given a higher rank. If they get the same marks in mathematics then physics marks are used to settle down the tie and if physics marks are also the same then chemistry marks are used to give the rank.
However, if the marks of physics chemistry and mathematics are the same the one with less negative marking is allotted a higher rank, followed by the candidate older in age. Now the age criteria have been removed.

This will take the competition higher and experts believe that the cut-off for JEE can be over 90 percentile.
