BANDIPORA : District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bandipora in Coordination with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Sumbal and Rural Development Department (Block Hajin) today organized a legal awareness program on “National Consumer Day” under the theme (Fair Digital Finance) at Legal Aid Clinic, Panchayat Ghar Madwan Hajin.

The programme was organised under the chairmanship of Amit Sharma Chairman DLSA (Pr. District and Session Judge) Bandipora and under the guidance of Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary DLSA Bandipora

Resource person, Advocate Tasleema Jan (Panel Lawyer TLSC Sumbal) delivered a speech on the said topic. She said that National Consumer Day is celebrated to make people aware about the rights of consumers.

She also raised awareness among the gathering about consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act and how to save themselves from market exploitation like different pricing and getting different or defective products.

The participants were also made aware about the facilities that the government is making for the consumers.

The programmes were attended by Staff members of TLSC Sumbal, PLVs, PRIs besides Senior Citizens.
