REASI : District Hub for Empowerment of Women Reasi, in collaboration with Mission Poshan Project Pouni and One Stop Centre Reasi, on Saturday organised an awareness programme on the role of District Hub for Empowerment of Women and other women centric schemes, here at Anganwari Centre Panchayat Kheral 3rd of Block Pouni.

The programme was attended by the supervisor of Mission Poshan Pouni, Sarpanch, Panches AWWs, AWH, Local Women and children of the adjoining areas. The Gender Specialist Rita imparted awareness to the participants about the women welfare schemes including women helpline 181,one stop centre for women, PMMVY, PMKVY, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Livelihood schemes for women entrepreneurs, Indira Gandhi National old age pension scheme, pension scheme for widows, Pension scheme for disable people, Restructure of UTMAS, Tejaswini scheme, role and functioning of SBIRESTI, Childline 1098, ICPS and other women related Schemes.

The team OSC Reasi briefed about the services provided at One Stop Centre for women such as medical, psycho social counselling, legal aid, shelter, WHL 181.The team also raised an awareness on Domestic Violence Act 2005, Cyber Crime, Stalking and other crimes existing in the society

At the end of the programme Gender Specialist Rita also noted the grievances of the participating women and assured them to provide help as soon as possible.
