Assam Education Minister, Ranoj Pegu, announced that a proposal for implementing the programme of distributing scooters to approximately 36,000 students. After meeting chaired by CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Education minister told reporters about this programme implementation at a cost of ₹258.9
